Decubitus orientation is described and advocated for glenohumeral arthroscopy and subacromial bursoscopy. Methods of maintaining decubitus orientation are discussed. The anatomic landmarks are described from this perspective for both the glenohumeral joint and subacromial space. Decubitus orientation facilitates triangulation in both the glenohumeral joint and the subacromial space.
