SUMMARYFour cases of PYCNODYSOSTOSIS ‐ two from India, one from Indonesia and one from Malawi (Africa) are reported.Fractures of the vertebral arches were observed in all our patients and it is suggested that this is a common type of complication in pycnodysostosis if carefully looked for. Spondylolisthesis follows the vertebral arch fractures and is probably a common complication in older patient
