Summary.An account is given of nest‐building by captive Quaker ParrotsMyiopsitta monachus.Nests were made by thatching movements, twigs being inserted into a base by a sideways movement of the head. A downward slanting sheaf was formed around an internal cavity. The lip of the nest‐hollow was formed by pulling up and inserting the ends of some twigs.
