Genetic researchers at The Institute of Genomic Research (TIGR) have now decoded the complete genome of theHelicobacter pyloribacteria - an accomplishment that they believe should lead to improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to gastric ulcer disease, and possibly to a prophylactic vaccine.
