AbstractTwo LDH isoenzymes are present in the swimming muscles ofChimaera.The axial muscle, consisting almost exclusively of white fibres, has most of the slow‐migrating isoenzyme, while pectoral muscle, rich in red fibres, have most fast‐migrating isoenzyme.
