AbstractExperimental results on the discharge characteristics of concentric orifice meters placed in circular pipes carrying sediment‐laden flow in homogeneous and heterogeneous regimes are reported. The experiments were carried out using water as the carrying medium and sand and coal as the sediments. The data cover a range of concentration from 0.5% to 7.0% by volume.
