This paper represents a supplement to theProvisional Catalogue of the family names of living Pteridophytesby the same author published in 1970. It provides further information on some names which will be included in the list of theNomina Familiarum Conservandain Appendix II of the Code of Nomenclature. The paper deals also with the criteria adopted for the conservation of the family names.
