摘要:
An interdisciplinary course has been designed and developed whose intent is to teach the basic principles of interfacing a small digital computer to laboratory apparatus. This course is available to science and engineering majors at the junior or senior level and has been team taught by instructors in several different disciplines. It is not an electronics course, but many of the current concepts in digital electronics are treated so that the student may understand the mechanics of the construction of an interface. The primary emphasis is on laboratory experience. Hardware requirements are not stringent, and it is possible to assemble a single laboratory station for as little as $4000.
