A new type radiofrequency phase meter, wherein the original voltages to be studied are heterodyned to convenient audiofrequencies for phase measurement, is described. By heterodyning both above and below the frequencies of the voltages being tested, the effects of undesired phase shifts within the apparatus are eliminated. Circuit constants which have given satisfactory results in practice are included. Accuracies of one‐tenth degree on angles up to ten degrees are readily attained at frequencies of 106cycles per second.
