In order to extend the knowledge of the sandy sediments and to correlate such layers, the determination of the relative width of the grain projection is made. The method of making such micromeasurements and diagrams has earlier been published by the author (Hagerman, 1960). When dealing with material transported by water, the border conture of the plots of a given sediment converges towards a point located at the region of the coarsest grains. This point shows the ability of the transport medium to carry the grains even if the large grains have not been present.
