AbstractThe resonance Raman spectra of13C‐ and2H‐substituted carotenoids were observed from photosynthetic bacteria cultured in13C‐and2H‐substituted media, respectively. The observed Raman bands of13C‐ and2H‐substituted carotenoids could be reasonably assigned on the basis of the normal coordinate analysis of a model molecule.
