Tills of different ages in SE Scania (Sweden) were shown to differ in their contents of clay minerals. The association of clay minerals complementary to erratics and grain-size analyses offer clues to the history of the different tills. The differences are a combination of quantitative and qualitative indicators. The locally derived tills show for instance relatively more kaolinite (and illite), whereas the Baltic Ice tills show more chlorite and a 11,5 Å mineral on which further investigations are under way.
