With the publication of a biochemical test for malignancy using a sunflower seed extract, the editorial comment suggested that the results “would deserve repetition by a number of investigators to establish a baseline of accuracy and dependability.” Now three years later a careful study and evaluation of this test establishes that it is valueless as either a screening or diagnostic test for cancer.
