摘要:

O-Butyloximes and O-pentyloximes are useful derivatives for gas chromatography of steroids, by virtue of the convenient increments in retention time accompanying their formation from reactive keto-steroids. These increments are adequate to permit analytical separations of keto- from hydroxysteroids, but are also moderate enough to allow the elution of steroidal di-O-alkyloximes at normal operating temperatures. The molecular weights of all the derivatives lie in a range very suitable for mass spectrometry, and the fragmentation modes are informative.
