The case of one‐dimensional magnetogasdynamic flow with heat transfer is analyzed. It is shown that the flow variables can be expressed as functions of the dimensionlessKnumber. The important flow regimes are delineated and it is observed that although the flow is reminiscent of classical flow with heat transfer, there do appear significant differences.
