SummaryThe adverse effects of glafenin consist in acute renal insufficiency and anaphylactic reactions.The acute renal insufficiency is always reversible and in most cases lesions of acute tubular necrosis have been found at renal biopsy. Our study suggests that glafenin would in addition be toxic at the glomerular level.The anaphylactic reactions are more frequent and have also always a favorable course, although in half of the cases, an anaphylactic was present.
