SummaryGastro intestinal bleeding is a frequent problem in medical emergency. The majority of cases are due to gastric hernia, gastric or duodenal ulcer, benign tumors, malignancy or esophageal varices, sometimes less frequent conditions are the undertying cause of the bleeding. Among those is the existence of ectopic pancreatic tissue, situated under the gastro intestinal mucosa. Preoperative diagnosis is seldom made, although possible. The following case-report tries to illustrate the point.
