AbstractThe three possible ring‐monofluorinatedN‐methylimidazoles have been prepared by photochemical irradiation of the corresponding diazonium tetrafluoroborates. 5‐Fluoro‐1‐methyl‐imidazole was also obtained by methylation of 1‐acetyl‐4‐fluoroimidazole.
