Hepatic injury following balothane anesthesia is rare,1,2whereas hypersensitivity and biotransformation to reactive products,6,7which may bind to hepatic microsomes, have been considered as cansative factors, no report condiders decreased blood flow in the hepatic artery. This commnication reports thecases of two patients in whom dramatic documented decreases in hepatic arterial blood How occurred during balothane anesthesia. Hepatitis developed in one patient.
