Energy engineers focus primarily on energy dollar savings from the installation of demand-side energy management projects. There also is an environmental benefit from projects which result in the reduction of fossil fuel consumption. This article presents five cases of energy projects which were worked on by the author, projects which reduced not only energy costs and consumption, but also emissions. The projects cited in this article resulted in over 110 thousand tons of pollution avoided each year.
