Self‐ratings of six career interests ‐ Practical, Scientific, Artistic, Social, Business, and Clerical ‐ were obtained from 1,610 high‐school pupils. These self‐ratings correlated significantly with measured interests, and complied with the Campbell‐Fiske criteria for convergent and discriminant validity. The correlation of self‐reports with other psychological constructs such as intelligence and personality is reported for a sample of 541 subjects.
