摘要:
The need to improve donor-recipient pairing for organ transplantation led to research through which it has become clear that a single genetic system, the H L-A locus, controls most of the lymphocyte antigens that affect graft survival. Mixed leukocyte cultures, which permit measurement of compatibility at H L-A without defining the antigens involved, have contributed greatly to the demonstration of this inherited mechanism.
