10. Free convection about a vertical cylinder in a porous medium subject to constant wall temperature or constant wall heat flux is considered. The influence of uniform lateral mass flux on the boundary-layer transport is studied. Numerical results for heat transfer along the boundary and temperature profiles are presented for various values of the parameter cj which is a measure of the effect of injection or withdrawal of fluid as compared to the combined transverse curvature and lateral mass flux effects.
