AbstractAn exact procedure has been worked out for the determination of tungsten as BaWO4. The solubility of the latter is taken into consideration, especially its dependence on the pH. Finally the BaWO4method is compared with the other methods for determining tungsten and a procedure is given for the quantitative conversion of BaWO4into WO3, when coprecipitation is to be feared.
