A discussion of hadron collider performance parameters is given. A few of those parameters, e.g., beam luminosity, center‐of‐mass energy, beam emittance, and phase space density have important effects relating to beam intensity. Finally, opinions on what research directions are required for improving the luminosity delivered from hadron colliders.(AIP) ©American Institute of Physics
