摘要:

A brief survey is given of some of the currently unresolved issues in the field of ionic conduction in glassy materials. An outline is then given of a recent microscopic model for ionic transport - the diffusion-controlled relaxation model - which can account for the behaviour of the a. c. conductivity and nuclear magnetic resonance spin-lattice relaxation rate observed experimentally in ionically conducting glasses.
