摘要:

Linear conversion of waves at the upper hybrid resonance for oblique propagation is considered. The conditions for the validity of a fourth‐order equation near the resonance are discussed. The cyclotron damping at&ohgr;≃2&ohgr;cfor the converted plasma wave is calculated.
