摘要:

Asymptomatic primary hyperparathyroidism poses difficult problems for the clinician. Since the patient is not‘sick,’the physician is reluctant to recommend surgery. Untreated, however, the condition can progress with serious sequelae. The risks of surgical intervention versus those of watchful waiting must be carefully weighed in each case.
