ABSTRACTAs has been pointed out in a paper by Dr. Lincoln La Paz recently published in these Contributions(P. A.,50, 157–165, March, 1942), efforts to apply electromagnetic detectors to the problem of locating buried iron meteorites have encountered many difficulties inherent in the instruments employed. In an instrument recently devised by the author, some of these difficulties are eliminated. The new detector has only half the weight and bulk of any comparable instrument, and power‐supply requirements have been materially decreased.
