AbstractA previous paper upon traverse networks dealt with the precise adjustment of traverse observations of distances and vertical angles, by a method of condensing the normal equations to a set between the junction and terminal points. In the present paper, an explanation will be given of the adaptation of the same method to the correct computation and least-squares adjustment of traverse observations of distances and horizontal angles. To avoid excessive explanation, it will be assumed that the reader has followed the previous paper.
