AbstractMr Craig recently visited Lesotho with a television crew who were filming a sequence there on behalf of the Programme for a TV documentary on the role of women in rural development. In this article he describes some of the ways in which, with the help of the Programme and other UN agencies, the country's most serious problem, soil erosion, is being attacked.
