Leonard R. MacGillivrayLeonard R. MacGillivray received his B.Sc. (Hons.) at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1994. He then obtained his Ph.D. while working in the lab of Jerry L. Atwood at the University of Missouri-Columbia, in 1998. Following his Ph.D., he moved on to a Research Associate position in the Functional Materials Program at the Steacie Institute for Molecular Sciences, National Research Council of Canada, Ottawa, Canada. In 2000, he became an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Iowa where he pursues interests in supramolecular chemistry and materials science, particularly as they relate to crystal engineering, molecular recognition, and host–guest chemistr
