A CAL phenomenon in Numerical Analysis

The need to facilitate the construction of Numerical Analysis coursework assignments that are apt for enhancing the student's appreciation of the subject, led to the development of four major CAL programs for use in computer oriented courseworks. These programs have a dynamic nature which renders them useful in all practical learning situations and, from experiments performed thus far, they have proved to be instrumental in advancing the student's knowledge as well as aiding the lecturer to set suitable assignments. Following is a discussion of the program characteristics and their implications. Sample output from the programs is also included.
