AbstractThe structure of cationic poly(6,6‐dimethylfulvene) (2a) has been confirmed by synthesis of 4 model compounds6, 7, 8, 9and comparison of the spectral data with those of the polyfulvene. 5‐Isoproylidenetricyclo[5.2.1.02.6]dec‐3‐ene (6) shows the same sensitivity towards oxygen as2a.
