IfSis a regular semigroup then an inverse transversal ofSis an inverse H bsemigroupS° that contains precisely one inversex° of eachxϵS. Here we describe, for every congruence π onS° that can be extended toS, the smallest extension of π. We also describe the idempotent separating congruences onS.
