AbstractThe rates of behavioural deviance in Japanese children attending school in England were investigated. A cross‐cultural comparison using the Rutter teachers' questionnaire was made between these Japanese children and some English children, which showed considerable similarity between the two sets. Possible additional ways teachers might identify Japanese children with deviant behaviour were described.
