Part 1 of this article (Mental Handicap, December 1983) discussed local strategies for encouraging the development of community mental handicap teams in districts that have yet to adopt this collaborative approach to community services for mentally handicapped people. If you find yourself in a district which has yet to discuss a coordinated community service, perhaps you should be taking action.
