摘要:
An approximate solution of the Navier-Stokes equation is given for incompressible flow through the thin annular gap beneath an air-supported puck. Expressions are derived which relate the pressure in the air film to the weight and dimensions of the puck, the thickness of the film to the total air flow, and the retarding force to the speed of a moving puck.
