Eight new species ofAbildgaardiasubgen.Bulbostylisare described from tropical Africa, viz.Abildgaardia squarrosa, A. densiflora, A. acutespicata, A. angustespicata, A. lacunosa, A. microcephala, A. microrotundata and A. pluricephala.
