AbstractSilicone films were equilibrated with special organosiloxanes in the presence of hexacholorocyclotriphosphatriene as catalyst in ethers as solvents. Thus, the hydrophobic silicone films developed a hydrophilic surface. This surface treatment does in no way reduce the oxygen permeability of the silicone films.
