摘要:

Two decades of routine screening of newborns in the United States have yielded answers to many questions and raised others that remain to be answered. Addressed specifically in this overview are the value of follow-up tests for PKU, the T4-TSH strategy for detecting hypothyroidism, and questions posed by tests for disorders that may not be clinically significant or treatable.
