The essential oil from fruits ofPterodon polygalaeflorusBenth. was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The major constituents found were β-caryophyllene (32.1%), γ-muurolene (21.0%), β-elemene (10.9%) and γ-elemene (8.3%)
