摘要:

The processcs occurring in electrolysis are described in an elementary way. The fundamental reasons for Faraday's laws are emphasized. Reversible e.m.f.'s and the conventions for writing them are summarized. The mechanism of ionic conduction and of electrode reactions is outlined.
