摘要:
SummaryA 55-year old man was hospitalised because of apathy, fever and vomiting. Addison’s disease and hypercalcemia were found. Auto-antibodies against adrenal cortex were absent, but on CT scan enlarged adrenal glands with microcalcifications indicated the existence of tuberculosis. Although both tuberculosis and Addison’s disease can cause hypercalcemia, and increased parathyroid hormone level was diagnostic of primary hyperparathyroidism, confirmed by the presence of a parathyroid adenoma at surgery.
