摘要:
The atypical presentation of common dermatoses, as well as the Occurrence of rare or previously undescribed skin diseases in patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), has provided dermatologists with one of the greatest challenges so far to their diagnostic abilities. HIV-related skin disease also provides an opportunity for reexamining pathogenic mechanisms of common skin disorders. Many of the skin disorders encountered in HIV infection reflect diminishing host immunity, but others, most notably psoriasis, do not. This article does not comprehensively review dermatologic manifestations of HIV disease, but rather highlights articles published in the past year about the subject.
