A transformer discharge through SeO2vapor under flowing conditions gives rise to the known C-X system of SeO2in the region 4000–5500 A. About sixty bands, including 38 new bands are measured and analysed. Including these new bands a fresh analysis is made, which differs in certain respects from the analysis reported earlier and yields the following frequencies for the upper and lower electronic states involved in the transition:
