摘要:
This article describes a research unit dealing with teacher‐student reaction and cooperation in solving problems dealing for the most part with cubic functions. Following the students’ work it presents an experience in a precollege level type of teaching aiming at familiarizing students with the process of mathematical research. In the exploratory process the students make the major mathematical contributions while the teacher plays two principal roles, namely that of a risk‐taker and a facilitator.
