摘要:
Two mineral ion exchangers filtrolite and vermiculite were used to separate low concentration of uranium (10−2to 10−1g/1) from its solution. Column experiment was carried out to determine the separation factor of uranium. In the first part of the column experiment, filtrolite shows low separation factor of uranium. The separation factor for uranium solution of concentration 10−1g/1, after 10 bed volumes was about 3.3; i.e. 70% from the uranium in the initial solution were fixed on the exchanger. On the other hand, vermiculite showsa relatively higher separation factor. For uranium concentration 10−1g/l the separation factor using 100 bed volumes, was between 8 and 44; i.e. 88% to 98% from the uranium in the initial solution were fixed. Presence of Na+, K+, Ca2+, and Mg2+in the uranium solution decreased the uptake of uranium by the vermiculite.
