Summary1The diagnosis and treatment of tumours of the salivary glands has been discussed, the conclusions being based on personal experience of 49 cases.2Adequate surgery is necessary to prevent recurrence of mixed salivary tumours. Radical surgery, usually without lymph node dissection, is necessary for carcinoma, but the outlook for cure is poor.
