摘要:

Fifty graduates of one PNP program were surveyed concerning their choice of geographic location. Twenty-nine were located in the St. Louis metropolitan area; ten were in other metropolitan areas in the United States. The remaining 11 were in non-metropolitan settings. Three-fourths worked in institutions providing health services to needy people. Twenty-nine either were entirely responsible for their location choice or had major impact on it. Opportunity to work with a specific institution was the factor selected most frequently as determining PNP location. PNP's as a group were relatively mobile, and did not consider themselves permanently located. The PNP data are compared to similar reports of physicians.
